It had been quite a while since the whole second grade went out for ECO together. This was therefore particularly exciting for them! Our focus was on animals in the woods behind TUS. Ask your child about what he/she found! I was amazed by the many things that these second graders discovered!
This week, we finished up our How-To books and presented them to the class. These were ALL so clearly written and SO much fun to listen to and read! I am very proud of all of them!
I feel that it has been a while since I have posted and I apologize for that. Students are continuing to grow as writers, readers, mathematicians, and as people. Recently, we have been working on writing "How-To" books. I am amazed by their hard work on teaching readers (and even me!) about so many different topics. Some of these topics include: how to feed a cat, how to feed a dog, how to do a cartwheel, how to make pancakes, how to do a "rainbow" in soccer, and how to make a peanut butter sandwich.
We also reached our 12th PBIS goal before vacation and had our celebration today- a "class basketball game". We had a enjoyed shooting baskets, playing small games, and just getting the chance to be active! |
